Job Description:

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Provide expertise and assistance as an integral member of the Portfolio Management Office to support achievement of corporate strategic goals through project portfolio prioritization, optimization, and selection. Provide advice and education to management regarding portfolio processes, which will require the coordination and analysis of data.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITES:

  1. Provide advice and assist in the administration of portfolio management processes.

  2. Provide guidance to project owners on portfolio process requirements and compliance.

  3. Evaluate project documentation and interface with stakeholders in development of required project documentation for portfolio processes to ensure process deliverables are complete, in compliance of requirements, and appropriate for executive leadership.

  4. Analyze consolidated and individual project data, prepare summaries, reports, presentations, and recommendations on portfolio processes for senior leadership

  5. Track, report and analyze project hours for projects within the portfolio.

  6. Aid in continuous improvement of portfolio management processes aligning with Agile methodologies and the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) framework.

  7. Serve as project lead in special projects as assigned.

  8. Maintain agendas for governance meetings, project priority list, and PMO database.

  9. Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures

  10. Perform other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience, MBA preferred

• Five (5) years business experience utilizing demonstrated analytical, organization, and planning skills with two (2) years project management experience (preferably leading large, complex projects), PMP preferred

• Safe Program Consultant (SPC) or Scaled Agilist (SA) Certification preferred

• Experience with or knowledge of Agile and SAFe preferred.

• Experience within the LTL transportation industry preferred

• Strong human relations, communication skills (verbal and written) and analytical skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), Access preferred
