Position Status: Full-Time
Provide leadership and direction on special projects, processes and practices to improve the safety, quality and profitability of district operations. Support the Service Centers goal of moving all shipments on time and damage free in a safe environment. Plan, organize and coordinate various initiatives and provide guidance through the application of process management, QDM principles and analytical techniques.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide support to district and regional leadership on special projects and activities aimed at improving efficiencies, safety, quality and operational results
Identify trends and improvement opportunities developing and implementing continuous improvement in all processes
Provide leadership to Service Centers working tactically with employees to meet the goal of moving all shipments on time and damage free
Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement utilizing quality practices and QDM methodology
Collaborate in the development of processes designed to improve performance in all areas of people, service, and profit
Monitor and analyze risk assessments and compliance metrics at the district and service center level
Develop and implement corrective action plans and solutions to improve processes and compliance
Serve as the point of contact for district leadership regarding operational policy, procedures and processes
Facilitate, lead, and monitor QDM efforts in the district to ensure further integration and adoption of QDM methodology at all levels of the organization
Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
Perform other duties as required

• Bachelor’s degree in business, transportation, engineering or other quantitative discipline or equivalent work experience plus three (3) years’ relevant experience in operational leadership
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels within the organization
• Strong data analysis skills and business solution development skills
• Demonstrated ability to create, prepare and present reports
• Ability to effectively lead multiple projects at one time and provide direction as needed
• Ability to develop and maintain relationships throughout the district
• Experience and ability to use Microsoft Office Software, including but not limited to: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other applicable computer system/programs
• Strong communication skills (written, verbal and visual)
• Extensive travel
